Matching payments automatically, and seeing your balance before you pay

Bank transactions are now matched to costs and purchase invoices automatically, and approving a batch of payments now shows the account balance first, so you can see whether there's enough to cover it.

Automatic payment matching

Matching a bank transaction to the cost or purchase invoice it belongs to used to mean reviewing a suggestion and confirming it yourself, every time. A transaction can now be matched automatically, without waiting for confirmation — useful once you trust the suggestions for a given bank account. Automatic matches are still logged, with a settings screen to configure the rule and a history to review what's been matched.

See your balance before you pay

Approving a batch of payments meant finding out only afterward whether the account actually had enough to cover them. The account balance is now shown right when you approve, so you can check before a large payment goes out.

Improvements

  • Payments: a payment now shows where it came from — Isabel 6, Ponto, or entered manually — with its own icon. Assigning a payment now shows its links to the cost, purchase invoice, transaction or credit note it's connected to, in both directions. Search invoices by amount when assigning a payment. Payment matching now also handles bank interest as its own type, and supports Steward workspaces the same way as Syndic.
